Probable Cause

The concept that often comes about in a case is the concept of probable cause. That is, was there a reasonable basis for the police to do something? Whether it was a search, whether it was a cease, or whether it was a stop and essentially, it is based on the total facts and circumstances that confront to the officer. At the time, was it reasonable for him to cease you, stop you, whatever gave rise to the encounter.
